The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO), Maridalsveien 29, offers educational programmes within architecture, preservation of architecture, design, landscape architecture and urbanism. The school awards MA and PhD degrees in architecture, design and landscape architecture. In addition, it offers experienced-based master programmes. The school has approx. 150 staff and approx. 700 students (2019).

The school acquired its present name in 2001, on moving into the building at Akerselva. It was built in 1938 for Oslo Lysverker (the city architect in Oslo), and was converted and enlarged prior to the move (arch. Jarmund/Vigsnæs AS). Three storeys have older facades of red brick; the newer facades are of aluminium and glass.
