Oslo Society (Selskapet for Oslo Byes Vel, The, established in 1811, is an independent member organisation promoting public participation in city development and culture. Through cultural activities, the journal St. Hallvard as well as the easily recognisable blue plaques on Oslo’s building facades, the non-profit organisation encourages people to learn about and become involved in the development of the city.
